Wood pulp
In 2018, the total wood pulp(Spunlace Nonwoven Wholesale) consumption of air-laid staple fiber, dry-laid hydroentanglement, spunbonded(Water Absorbent Nonwovens Factory) and wet-laid webbing was approximately 1,417,000 tons.
By 2023, it is expected to increase to 1,725,000 tons.
This is due to the expectation that air-laid staple fiber nonwovens will continue to replace the linear absorbentcores(Spunlace Non Woven Fabric On Sales) in adult diapers and feminine hygiene lines.
This increase does not translate into increased demand for wood pulp, but instead replaces existing quantities.
In North America, almost all napkins useair-laid staple fibers, and the consumption of adult diapers is also high.
